A few weeks ago, Nature Composed, Bluewater Kitchen and I invited some our favorite friends and vendors for drinks and appetizers at the new studio. Jenn, the owner of Nature Composed, bought the building and has turned it into the most AMAZING creative space. Her shop features a beautiful, curative selection of nature inspired gifts that fit the historic town of Middleburg perfectly. I met Kirby before she was even engaged, as she was a bridesmaid in another wedding I planned at the Willard! We had so much fun at that wedding I knew working with her on her Riverside on the Potomac wedding would be just as fun! Springtime at the Farm!

Brennan and and I have been working our tails off at the farm trying to beautify the farm. When we built this house, about three years ago, we literally only had 6-7 trees on the property. We both love old houses surrounded by mature landscaping, so we are trying to make our house look a little older and not so "new construction". 

 

My favorite plant in the entire yard is the azalea that is from our house in Beaufort. My mom brought it up shortly after we moved in and this year is the first year it's bloomed! I was so worried it wasn't going to make it, but seeing those bright pink buds start to show this Spring has given me so much hope for our little homestead!
