Last weekend my good friend Rachel Clarke, of Rachel May Photography, came out and hosted an amazing workshop on Smart Phone Photography. Working onsite at events and just being out in beautiful Virginia Hunt Country region everyday, I'm constantly seeing all this amazing imagery but was lacking the professional look to make it match my brand. If Tricia and I could host a workshop at my house every weekend, we would! Tricia and I had SO much fun connecting with other creatives talking about what works for us (and what doesn't!), going over workflows, contracting, etc. Over the past year, education has become such a critical part of our business model! Not only to teach, but to continue learning ourselves! This is something I wish I started earlier! Seriously y'all- continuing education is a MUST!!

The AVE Inspired Planners Workshop was one of the coolest and most rewarding things Tricia and I have ever done. We talked about hosting a workshop for the LONGEST time and after I attended Creative at Heart in January we decided to make this thing a reality! There are SOOOO many things we've learned over the years that we want to pass along to fellow wedding planners! One of my biggest goals of AVE was to host a workshop. In the planning world I found there was little education and community among planners. There are literally endless opportunities for photographers and florists, but nothing that catered toward planners! After ending the first Creative at Heart Conference and seeing the initiative other businesses where taking I talked to Tricia and decided the time to launch this thing was NOW! This summer we will be launch our first ever workshop out of our farm in Warrenton, VA! I am so excited and extremely nervous!!
